After purchasing this online, I realized that all musical toys should be heard first and never bought untested; the songs drove my husband and I nuts. We couldn’t stand listening to the woman singing and finally we just hid it; I’m planning to take it to a neighborhood toy swap and be rid of it altogether. We also thought that the animal sounds were not convincing or recognizable. Of course, to each their own- we loved the Munchkin Mozart cube. I see lots of people like this toy, so it comes down to a personal (musical) preference.

My baby loves to spin and hear the animal sounds; but recently the switch to shut off or change sounds would sometimes not work. Now the battery runs out of power in a day and leaks every time.
Since these were fresh new batteries; I am certain that the unit has a short circuit (most likely in the switch).
I’ll call LeapFrog tomorrow and inquiry. Hope to get the unit replaced.

My husband and I bought this for our son when he was 6 months old. The first night he was very excited about spinning the thing around, but after a while he figured out that was all it did. He doesn’t care what song or noise is played. Overall, I was just sorry we bought it because he only plays with it for a couple of minutes at a time, and then is over it.
